Categories

The panel on the left shows where in the catalogue you currently are and lets you go deeper or step back up. Picking a category narrows the list to it together with all of its subcategories — standing on "gold" you also see the coins, bars and medals kept inside it.

How the tree is built

• Precious metals split first by metal (gold, silver, platinum, palladium), then by kind of item (coins, bars, medals), and coins split further by weight — from 1/40 of an ounce up to a kilogram.
• Firearms split into pistols, revolvers, rifles, shotguns and the rest. Pistols branch further by calibre.
• The "other" category sits at the end of every level and collects whatever does not fit the rest — weights outside the usual set, for instance.

What changes once you pick a category

• The result list is limited to the chosen branch.
• The filter panel adapts to what actually occurs in that branch — with coins you get fineness and mintage, with firearms calibre and barrel length.
• Search covers the current category and its subcategories, not the whole catalogue. If you cannot find something you are sure exists, step one level up.
• The bar above the list shows the full path from the root to where you are. Every part of it is a link, so going back up is a single click.

Tips

• Start broad. Walking down the tree is easier than guessing which of a dozen weight categories holds a given year.
• An empty list under a chosen category only means that branch holds nothing yet — not that the item does not exist. Check one level up.
